We are looking for a Test Engineer to join the exciting and vital part of the StarLeaf family at our office in Great Shelford. You will report to our test team leader, an experienced software tester and work closely with our Year in Industry team members to ensure that we release high-quality products to our customers.

This position will involve:

Reviewing and analysing requirement documents ensuring business and technical requirements are fully understood.

Testing our applications on a variety of platforms (Windows, Mac, Android, & iOS).

Testing the software on our own hardware products.

Reporting defects accurately and managing through to successful resolution via Jira.

Designing new test cases for new features and upcoming products.

Liaising with project managers, developers and experts to continually develop product knowledge.

Supporting the release process and releasing of our products to our internal users.

You will be exposed to a variety of technologies and processes, including but not limited to IP networking, Agile development, Jira, Testrail,Version Control, release processes and a range of operating systems we support our products on.

Requirements

Experience of working in a manual testing role in a software environment. The ideal candidate will have 2 years commercial experience within Software testing.

Experience of performing exploratory testing across various platforms.

Highly passionate about delivering high-quality software, and about building a career in Software Testing.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to facilitate close interaction with development teams and management.

Experience of using JIRA or similar bug lifecycle software testing tools.

Experience of using TestRail or similar Testcase management tools.

Basic understanding of IP networking, ports, routers and switches.
