Asthma UK charity works remotely throughout pandemic

Asthma UK relies on StarLeaf to provide support to vulnerable groups without face-to-face contact during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as simplifying internal collaboration.

The UK charities Asthma UK and the British Lung Foundation combined forces in early 2020 and wanted a collaboration platform to simplify and consolidate communication across the new organization. The solution also needed to support Asthma UK’s work without face-to-face contact during the coronavirus pandemic.

StarLeaf ticked all the boxes. It was already widely used in the NHS, an important contact for Asthma UK. A soft launch and gradual introduction prevented the IT team from being overwhelmed, and great interoperability means it fits seamlessly into existing workflows. As Director of Technology James Endersby says, ‘it just works.’
