The Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust operates a number of hospitals in the UK. With 16,000 employees, they serve communities of 1.2 million. The Trust already knew the value of video conferencing, and were using the NHS BT N3 network to connect teams across locations for multidisciplinary team meetings. But the decommissioning of the BT N3 network left the Trust looking for another provider.
StarLeaf stood out because of its high quality service, and the added security of its strong UK presence: StarLeaf hosts all NHS data in dedicated datacenters in located in the UK.
The initial set of StarLeaf room systems were so popular that the Trust doubled their number almost immediately. With StarLeaf already up and running, the Trust was able to establish remote collaboration easily when the pandemic hit, using the StarLeaf app on desktop and mobile. As employees invited one another to meetings on the app, the user base grew organically from just a few hundred, to around 5,400 now.
I think as a videoconferencing service it’s second to none, and I would thoroughly recommend it.
